Frozen Candle

You can create a warm ambience with frozen candles. For making frozen candle, you would need two containers (one large and another one small). The smaller one can be a candle holder. Plastic milk carton and yogurt container can be used. You will also need some twigs, leaves and flowers from the garden.

To make the candle, fill the large container with one inch water and put it in the freezer. Once it's frozen take it out and put the smaller container (votive candle holders can be used) inside it.

Jar Holders and Jar Candles can easily be used. Now put twigs, leaves and flowers in the space between the two containers. And then fill the space with water till the top. You need to put a heavy object inside the smaller container to ensure it don't float up.

Next put this pair of containers in the freezer for around a day till the water freezes. After taking them out from freezer, run a little warm water over the container to remove the ice candle holder. Put a candle in it and light it to create the magic!

You can create space for candle using tea light holders also and in place of normal candles use tea lights. And if votive holder has been used at the initial stage of making, then Votive Candles are perfect.

Ice candle

Scented candles fill your house with your favourite fragrance. And nothing better than to craft your own designer candle. For making an ice candle, you can recycle an old candle wax or Wax Melts come in handy.

For that amazing aroma you can opt from a great selection of wax melts available at Candles And Extras including Summer Peach, Vibrant Saffron, Sun Drenched Apricot Rose, Rainbow Cookie and many more.

You would also need a cardboard container, like a milk carton, wicks, a pencil, waterproof glue and ice cubes.

To make the candle, take the milk carton, cut the top off and clean it. Next, take the wick and glue it to the bottom of the carton. Wrap the other end of the wick around a pencil and put it on the top of the carton.

Use a double boiler system to melt the wax. As the wax is ready to be poured, fill some ice cubes in the milk carton. And next, pour the melted wax. In a few hours, the candle will set, pour out the water from the melted ice and tear away the carton.

Your ice candle with a unique texture is ready to be lighted.
